According to IATA, among the measures that travelers take to avoid being infected are washing their hands more frequently (77%), avoiding large gatherings (71%) and wearing a mask (67%). About 58% of respondents said they had avoided air travel, and 33% suggested that they would avoid traveling in the future as the best way to reduce the risk of getting the virus. As for concerns, IATA divided them into two: at the airport and on board the plane. Thus, at the air terminal passengers fear being in a crowded bus/train on their way to the plane (59%); queuing at check-in/security/border control or boarding (42%); and using the airport restrooms/toilets (38%).
