Richard Champley joined NTTO in September 2003 and is currently the program manager for the Survey of International Air Travelers and the international air traffic databases. He oversees the analysis and reporting of travel and aviation data, collaborates on sales and marketing efforts with public/private stakeholders and is coordinating the re-engineering of the data collection efforts. As the contract officer’s representative (COR) from 2005 to 2016, he oversaw contract relations with NTTO’s vendor. From 2005 to present he is program manager of the SIAT (includes vendor’s 15 FTEs). Richard is also an industry analyst with contacts to the airline and airport sectors and has been a guest speaker at many conferences.
Mr. Champley was an adjunct instructor of management at St. Cloud State University in the Department of Aviation. He also served as a market research manager for Unisys focusing upon airlines, airports and airfreight. He has held several positions at Northwest Airlines, including serving as the Manager of International Marketing Analysis and Planning, financial planning and audit manager. Previously, he worked in the banking industry and also served as a U.S. Army officer in key line positions in bases both domestically and overseas.
