Quando voltam os voos internacionais ao Brasil? Confira agenda
Air France
The operations were maintained since the beginning of the pandemic, and it was the only international airline to continue operating to and from the RioGaleão (GIG). Since March 23, it has operated three times a week between Paris (CDG) and São Paulo (GRU) and a weekly flight between Paris (CDG) and Rio de Janeiro (GIG). On July 6 it had eight weekly flights, five in São Paulo and three in Rio. The company still estimates return of operations to Fortaleza (FOR) from October 10.
Alitalia
The company will fly back to Brazil in October. At first there will be three weekly frequencies between Rome and São Paulo, and gradually the company will resume its capacity until reaching the three daily frequencies between Brazil and Italy (two from Guarulhos and one from Rio).
Amazonas
Company must return between the end of August and beginning of September, still without confirmed date.
American Airlines
The company announced the return of flights to Brazil, starting on August 6 with Miami-Sao Paulo, but also announced the cancellation of routes from Los Angeles to Sao Paulo and from Miami to Brasilia. Connections to Dallas and New York will also be back by the end of the year.
Avianca
No forecast yet
British Airways
British Airways flights connecting São Paulo (Guarulhos) and London (Heathrow) will resume operations on August 2, initially with three weekly frequencies.
Cabo Verde Airlines
Return only in September, but still no official confirmation.
Copa Airlines
Company promised next week an official position on its return to the country.
Delta Air Lines
Forecast return for August, from Guarulhos (SP). In the systems already had date of August 4, with sales still closed (open from the operation of August 7). The flight from New York, still without date, should return in codeshare with Latam.
Edelweiss
In October, Edelweiss, a subsidiary of Swiss, an airline belonging to the Lufthansa Group, will resume the Zurich-Rio de Janeiro route with two flights a week.
Emirates
The company announced that it will resume flights to São Paulo on August 2. However, it has not yet detailed the number of frequencies of the São Paulo-Dubai flight on resumption, nor the equipment it will use on this connection. The company promises more details soon.
Ethiopian Airways
The company never stopped operating, just reduced the frequency. It's currently on two flights a week.
Flybondi
No forecast yet
Gol
Asunción, Santiago, Montevideo, Lima, Santa Cruz de La Sierra and Buenos Aires from Sao Paulo (GRU), and Buenos Aires, Rosario and Cordoba from Rio de Janeiro (GIG). Gol confirms the return of these international flights from September onwards, although it has not yet detailed the exact day for the start.
Iberia
From September 3, the Spanish airline will return, initially with three weekly frequencies, connecting São Paulo (GRU) to Madrid. The Idecol flight from Brazil will arrive in Madrid at 2:30pm.
Jetsmart
Probably back in October, still no confirmed date.
KLM
One of the highest number of flights between Brazil and Europe since the beginning of the pandemic. From 23 March onwards, the company operated two weekly flights between São Paulo (GRU) and Amsterdam (AMS). From 18 May, the frequency increased to six weekly flights (four from São Paulo and two from Rio de Janeiro). Since June 8, there have been six flights to São Paulo and four to Rio de Janeiro. Since July 13, it operates daily flights between São Paulo and Amsterdam, the same level as before the crisis, and four times a week to Rio de Janeiro. This program should be maintained at least until the end of August.
Latam
Last month, Latam Brasil resumed its operations from São Paulo to five international destinations: Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Miami and Santigo. This month, the airline will offer flights to four more destinations outside the country from Guarulhos airport: Lisbon, Mexico City, Malvinas Islands and Montevideo. Miami is no longer among the flights scheduled for July. Also in July, Mexico City, Frankfurt, London, Madrid and Montevideo will have three weekly frequencies. Lisbon will have five frequencies (three on Friday, Tuesday and Sunday), Santiago will have daily flights and the Malvinas Islands will receive a weekly flight from Guarulhos (Wednesday).
Lufthansa
While flying the São Paulo-Frankfurt route since the beginning of the pandemic, Lufthansa has increased its frequency from three to five flights a week in early June.
Qatar
Since July 4, the company has increased its frequency of flights between São Paulo and Doha: from the current three times a week to five flights a week. And on Tuesday 14th, the company announced that the daily flight arrives one month ahead of schedule, on August 1st, with the A350-1000.
Swiss Airlines
Swiss Airlines resumed its operation between Zurich and São Paulo on July 2, with three flights a week. As of September 2, this frequency will be increased to five.
American Airlines, which threatens to cut its workforce by 25,000 jobs beginning in October, and JetBlue Airways are teaming up again in a partnership similar to the one they entered into in 2014, this time to better compete against United and Delta amidst the uncertainties surrounding the future of tourism.
